Dan Nelson Joins Fahrenheit Team as Resource Manager
Fahrenheit Finance would like to proudly welcome Dan Nelson as our new Resource Manager.
Dan brings his expertise in finance and human resources to the team as we continue to build and foster our relationships with current and potential clients and candidates in the finance and accounting communities.
Dan received is undergraduate degree in finance from James Madison University and first began his career within the finance training program at Richmond-based Circuit City headquarters. He later returned to graduate school at the University of South Carolina to pursue a degree in human resources.
“I really enjoy building relationships with different people from all different backgrounds, ” said Nelson.
“Whether people are actively or passively looking for jobs, it’s relationships that Fahrenheit Finance strives to build. We really get to know our consultants and candidates so we are better able to match resources and clients with opportunities based on interests, company needs and culture. .”
During his return graduate school, Dan interned with GE Aircraft Engines, recruiting for the company’s engine plant and followed his internship with a job as HR Project Manager at GE Financial, now Genworth.
At Genworth, Dan helped introduce behavioral-based interviews within the finance program to better facilitate the hiring process. He also was a key player in revamping the company’s volunteer program by establishing new campaign, recruiting and recording initiatives for employees.
Dan and his wife Katie have a new 10-month-old baby boy. When he isn’t acclimating to life as a new dad, Dan enjoys running and tennis.
