(Video) Expert Janet Carson Flamini on Why Leadership Coaching is Important

Today’s coaching spotlight features Janet Carson-Flamini. Janet is a strategic Human Resources executive, business leader and global VP with an outstanding record of success leading enterprise-wide human capital strategies in start up, turnaround, acquisition and growth scenarios. She’s had the privilege of working for companies like Frito-Lay, Progressive Insurance, Activision Blizzard, US Foods, and others.

Listen in, (or read below) as she shares her thoughts about why engaging a coach today is so important.

“Leadership is as important now as it ever was. Whether or not we’re adaptable, whether or not we’re agile, coaching teams from afar, these are critical skills that we need to be able to have.

We all spent a lot of time at work, and we want to be as effective as possible. We want to be high performing. Sometimes we need a third party. Someone who listens well, someone who asks good questions, someone who can help us see what we’re doing well and what’s getting in the way.

It’s a virtual world. We don’t want to get to July or August and start to think, ‘Oh my gosh, this time has passed and I haven’t had a chance to develop my skills and capabilities.’ Virtual coaching can do that for you. You can meet with a coach via FaceTime and get the coaching that you need to become even more successful.

I’ve had the opportunity to work for many very successful companies in both a corporate environment as well as smaller parts of the business. Places like Frito-Lay, Progressive Insurance, Activision Blizzard, US Foods, and in fact, had the opportunity to be responsible for leadership development for a Fortune 500 company. I want to be able to help you. It’s really important that I’m able to give folks the help, support feedback that they need, just like I received, I’m Janet Carson Flamini if I can help you, I’m really hoping that you’ll reach out and we can partner together.”
