Jennifer McCorey

Jennifer McCorey has more than 25 years of experience as a human resources professional with a strong focus on talent acquisition, talent management and strategic leadership. Jennifer is a search industry expert that has handled searches from C-Suite to middle management spanning disciplines and across multiple industries.

Jennifer’s passion is finding the right talent for the position and getting to a win-win for both the company and the candidate. Prior to joining the executive search industry, Jennifer worked for a national brand-name electronics retailer as a member of the senior leadership team in the Services organization providing strategic leadership, talent management, rewards & recognition and associate relations. She also led the overall recruiting effort as Director of Recruiting, to include career resources, executive recruiting, on-boarding, new hire orientation, interview training and testing & assessment. During her professional career, Jennifer has built a strong reputation for her innate ability to recognize and assess executive talent.

 

Jennifer earned a M.S. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Baltimore and B.S. in Psychology from James Madison University. She leads the female mentoring program at a local high school, is a volunteer Crisis Counselor for the Crisis Text Line, and mental health advocate for a non-profit, CrushTheSummit.

Responsible for new business development and retained executive search services for clients ranging from regional to national retailers (small-box to big-box), direct and multi-channel retailers, grocery, wholesalers, service providers, financial and CPG companies.

 

Circuit City Stores, Inc.

Director, Human Resources – Services (2007-2008)

Provided senior-level generalist counsel to Services/firedog organization supporting over 6,000 associates, including Strategic Leadership, Associate Relations, Talent Management and Rewards & Recognition

Director, Staffing & Career Resources (2001-2007)

Provided strategic vision for the recruiting and career resources function, to include executive recruiting, on-boarding, new hire orientation, interview training, and testing & assessment.

Managed a team of eleven recruiters responsible for staffing Information Systems, Corporate Operations, Corporate Communications, Legal, Loss Prevention, Field Senior Management, and HR. Recruited executive level management.
