Karen is a CPA with over 35 years of accounting experience in both public accounting and private industry including construction, real estate and property management. She specializes in identifying inefficiencies and putting processes into place to ensure accuracy and create efficient accounting departments.
Karen started her career in public accounting. She helped clients set up their accounting procedures, register for all tax accounts and ensure that they were compliant with all local, state and federal agencies. She prepared corporate, partnership and individual tax returns, as well as compiled and reviewed financial statements. As Controller, Karen oversaw the financial operations of businesses, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow management and financial statement preparation. She was the liaison for all banking, insurance and finance relationships.
