Nathan Duet

Managing Director

Nathan is an accomplished Human Resources professional with over 34 years of experience with specific concentration in building sustainable human resources functions within rapidly growing organizations, as well as making strategic adjustments to policies and practices to accommodate the organization’s strategy and development. He is a collaborative leader that effectively utilizes the talents and contributions of team members to build a balanced approach to human resources management that facilitates the growth of, and respect for, individuals while positioning the organization to reach and exceed objectives. Nathan’s work has encompassed all areas of Human Resources Management, including Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Compliance with State and Federal labor laws, Communications, and Performance Management.

Nathan has served in senior level Human Resources roles over the past 25 years, including National Vice President of Human Resources at Performance Food Group and Senior Vice President and Principal at Apex Systems.   Joining Performance Food Group (PFG) in only its second year of operation, Nathan was instrumental in developing the human resources function for the new organization, with emphasis on establishing and maintaining an efficient alignment of branch and corporate activities. Over the course of his 17 year career with PFG, Nathan assumed leadership of the HR function, working with 20+ HR leaders at the company’s 32 operating locations, while helping lead the company to a national leadership position within the food distribution industry.

At Apex Systems, Nathan led the consolidation of existing HR functions, including recruiting, training, benefits, and compliance, while expanding the list of HR services offered to include compensation, performance management, and employee relations. During his tenure at Apex, Nathan led process initiatives that enabled Apex to maintain its history of extremely rapid growth. Areas of particular note include the self-funding of its group health program, the establishment of an automated performance management system, and ultimately the integration with a Learning Management System. Along with system and process development, Nathan remained personally active in creating a winning culture at Apex through annual satisfaction surveys, philanthropic involvement, and facilitating individual career development.
